charity

Dear friends

I love this definition of charity which was in the visiting teaching message this month – here’s the link to the talk https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2010/10/charity-never-faileth?lang=eng  It’s Prophet Thomas S. Monson, at women’s session,  October 2010.

Charity is having patience with someone who has let us down. It is resisting the impulse to become offended easily. It is accepting weaknesses and shortcomings. It is accepting people as they truly are. It is looking beyond physical appearances to attributes that will not dim through time. It is resisting the impulse to categorize others.

I can definitely work on these!  As I do, I know I will come to know our Saviour better,  and so I can trust Him more.
